In today’s world there are many global issues that are affecting our planet and the way we live. According to TIGWeb, a global issue is “A broad description that is often used to explain matters of great social concern that affect human populations locally and that are shared among diverse human societies within our global community.” (Global Issues, 2013, par.1) If I was personally given 50 billion dollars that would go towards helping three specific world issues they would be health care,

The lack of health care is an important issue affecting the world today. There are so many countries that are lacking sufficient health care leaving their people needing urgent care, being either sick and or dying. According to CBC News, more than 200 million children worldwide under the age of 5 do not get basic health care, leading to nearly 10 million deaths annually. (CBC News, 2008, par.1) I would want a portion of the money to go towards helping those who are living in developing and third world countries because even having basic health care, such as a multiple doctors in each city with basic health care equipment would help so much.

Secondly, I would make sure a portion of the money would go towards helping reduce world hunger rates. World hunger is also a major problem affecting millions of people all around the world. Just ensuring that people everywhere have a balanced and healthy diet would help along with sicknesses, and help build their immune systems. Malnutrition is something that no one should have to deal with so I would want to make sure everyone is getting enough food to keep them healthy, strong, and happy.

Lastly, education is something that should be made accessible to all. Every child should be able to grow up and attain at least a mandatory basic level of education. Having an education not only will allow the children to have a job which will bring in income to help support them and their families, but it also teaches responsibility,...
