Diversity in the place of work is important for employees because it manifests the situation in building a great reputation for the company, leading to increased profitability and opportunities for workers. Workplace diversity is important within the organization as well as outside. Business reputations flourish when companies demonstrate their commitment to diversity through aggressive outreach and recruiting efforts."( Mayhew & Media, 2014). A diverse workplace offers more than exposure to employees from different cultures and backgrounds. Employees learn from co-workers whose work styles vary and whose attitude about work varies from their own. In the military there lots of culture diversity which makes the United States armed forces very strong. Firstly, culture diversity education is important in the workplace because it help us to respect each other and respect each other's beliefs. Respecting each other's ideas in inputs can bring forth a positive outcome in the workplace and in the work that is being performed. Being in the military I work with a lot of different culture beliefs and as I get to know them more I learn more. We respect each other difference and culture in the military. Everybody wants respect or to be treated like they would treat their selves. When you have a company full out diversity everyone needs to have respect for each other's beliefs and culture difference. When you bring a group of people together of different culture you have more of a chance of accomplishing the mission because ever body thinks differently. If you have a group of people together of the same culture your chances of accomplishing you mission will be slim or very difficult. Employees should be educated on culture diversity from day one of employment to ensure a smooth operation. Cultural diversity education is important in the workplace because it help us to respect each other beliefs, because it helps us to work better successfully as a team, and because it help us to understand our differences.
