Work Interest Assessment

My results for the work interest assessments were social, investigative, and conventional. Social has to do with helping people. Social people tend to prefer working with others and taking on a team approach to dealing with problems. They typically get along well with other people and enjoy meeting new people in group settings. Investigative refers to thinking and problem solving. People in this category typically work in jobs that deal with science and the use of computers. Conventional relates to organization. People in the conventional category like to follow plans and be organized. Also, they tend to pay attention to small details.
My results from my personality assessment were orderly, perceptive, reliable, precise, dependable. Being orderly I pay close attention to details and like to have a clear understanding of things. I am sympathetic and care about the well-being of other people. I prefer having necessary information before I make decisions. Also, I like accuracy and I patiently look
I think it is important for anyone to have background knowledge with computers systems because technology is constantly growing in society today. Nurses and many other professions use computers daily, which is why it is important to have a basic understanding in computer skills.
The self-assessments were very helpful in exploring career possibilities. I was able to gain a better understanding of my interests, such as my skills, personality, and values. The self-assessments gave me a list of possible career fields and professions that matched my interests. This allowed me to explore other career fields and learn about the other employment opportunities out there that best matched my personal attributes. The self-assessment can be helpful in the future by allowing me to discover which type of nursing field I would want to specialize
