Women In The Comic Industry

There is an enormous lack of female creators in the comic industry. Both Gail Simone and Chelsea Cain are known for having issues with sexism in the top 2 companies in the comic book industry, Marvel, and DC. Gail Simone was the lead writer for Batgirl, and is also the one that coined the phrase, “Women in Refrigerators.” She started that movement against the killing maiming and depowering of women in comic books.
