In the short story of “The Monkeys Paw” By Jacobs, W.W. Mr. White wished for 200 pounds to pay off his house (36). It was not something he really wanted but did not believe that the wishes were true so he was testing to see if the wish actually works. Considering that Sergeant Major Morris had warn him to a sensitive wish, he was not a rest taker so his wish was not as big and he only used it for it's used. By wishing something it could probably just impact there live, for Mr. White not worrying about the 200 pound he had to pay, there were already going to be paid for.

In “Monkey’s Paw” this tells us that Mrs. White is selfish and was just thinking about herself to bring back her son. Mr. White used it as a purpose use as if he needed it. In “What, of This Goldfish, Would You Wish?" it tells us that Sergio used his wishes for other people that he loved. It tells us that is just wants others to be happy and safe, he did not want his sister to suffer, also Sveta for her son. In The Three Brothers. It shows us that two of the brothers used it as a selfish wish for themselves, it shows us that they just cared about themselves. But the third brother used it for himself but as they years passed by he handed what he wished for to his son, but he was as pleasant to leave with death, as he greeted him
