Abstract- GSM based electronic notice display system is presented in this paper, this is the model for displaying notices in college on electronic notice board by sending messages in form of SMS through mobile, it is a wireless transmission system which has very less errors and maintenance. The hardware board contains microcontroller 89c51 at the heart of the system. The microcontroller is interfaced with PC via MAX232 level convertor. It is used to convert RS232 voltage levels to TTL voltage levels and vice versa. We use PC's serial port to interface microcontroller. The hardware also has a 64K EEPROM chip AT24C64. This EEPROM is used to store the timings and messages to be displayed. Hardware also contains a real time clock DS1307 to maintain track of time. Both these ICs are interfaced with microcontroller using I2C interface. The keypad is used to set/reset parameters directly. A 4x4 keypad is attached using Row Column configuration. A 16x2 Character LCD display is attached in byte mode to port 1 of microcontroller. This display will be used to display the messages / advertisements. Microcontroller coding will be done using Embedded C and Kiel. PC Coding will be done using VB. Nokia PC Connectivity SDK is a tool used in VB for GSM Modem interfacing, this project implementation will save time, also cost efficient. a single person can handle all the work with just a message. We can use a PC with administrator for ease of message sending and keeping records.

technologies will eventually become more widespread than the various wired solutions. The wireless communications present the ideal solution for the home network .This increasing demand of getting wireless

Wireless signals are all around us as we walk or drive around the city or town where we live. The four types of wireless technologies that are out there are Wi-Fi, Cellular, Bluetooth, and WiMAX. We will be looking at these types of wireless technologies a little more in depth, where are they most commonly used, and how they differ from one another. The first wireless technology that we will be looking at is the Wi-Fi wireless signal. The Wi-Fi signal is mainly associated with computer networking, the specification used to create a wireless local area network is the IEEE 802.11. One would use this type of wireless technology if you were a business owner opening up a coffee shop and needed a public network. The network would have a wired connection to an internet source, then leading to a wireless router that transmits and receives the data from all of the customer’s devices that want to use the Wi-Fi. This will also connect all of the devices to one another through the network. The next type of wireless technology that we will be looking at is Cellular. This type of wireless technology is most often associated with wireless telephones. The cellular network is connected to cells that will enable a user to move around freely while staying connected to the network. This type of signal is used everywhere you go nowadays and are used by everyone. There are a multitude of devices that use these networks at one time and those include, smart phones, tablets, and some computers can use the cell towers to get a signal to be able to use the internet. The first generation of cellular signals was completely analog, and from there with the growing demand of faster speeds and better connectivity technology brought us 2G, 3G, and the ever popular 4G phones. Bluetooth is the next technology that we will touch on and is very similar to the Wi-Fi and cellular networks but on…

In many situations a communication link between two devices becomes essential. This communication can be wired or wireless. If two devices are close to each other a wired link is preferred. However in many situations two devices are reasonably far apart. In that case a wireless link is preferred. One of the popular wireless communication technologies is RF communication that is being used in our project.…

In this chapter, it discusses the Telecommunications, the Internet, and Wireless Technology. With the development of technology, connecting to Internet become more and more simply. Internet has become a necessary part of our daily social life. Wireless technology refers to the transfer of information between two or more points that are not physically connect, such as GPS units, wireless computer mice or headsets. As we know, wireless benefits our daily life a lot, such as mobile phone, Wi-Fi, 4G networks on handle PC. It is very strong right now. Internet services are communication tools. Options such as e-mail, instant messaging, newsgroups, and the World Wide Web are available to us in the business world. E-mail allows messaging in between computers, with the capabilities of sending to multiple users and forwarding certain items. E-mail has provided businesses a cheaper form of communication compared to postal services or fax machines, and this form is far more rapid than the older forms. Although e-mail is a more cost effective form of communication available to businesses, now companies must invest in systems and methods of screening work placed e-mails. These screening systems can sometimes be complex and become a major cost to organizations. Telecommunications refers to the use of electronic technology in the transmission of information between different locations. Telecommunications, including different kinds of long-distance communication, such as radio, telegraph, television, telephone, data communications and computer network communications. Wireless telecommunications refers to the transfer of information between two or more points that are not physically connected. I searched the Internet to find the newest news about wireless was the competition that AT&T and Verizon need. Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc. dominate the market for wireless data as a duopoly, together accounting for more than two-thirds of all U.S.…
