|I completed the windshield survey in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. I surveyed the community I live in as well as the surrounding county seat of New |
|Philadelphia, Ohio. The area I reside in is a more rural area with less occupants than the cities surrounding

|Are there any indicators of the kind of work available? Are there job opportunities within the community? Factories? Small Business? Military |
|Installations? Are there unemployed people visible? Are there homeless persons? |
|Many indicators of work were visible during my observation. There is a mall in the area with small community centers located around it. 2 large |
|grocery stores are located close to the mall and within walking distance from the town square. There are many small community businesses grouped |
|together throughout the main road in New Philadelphia. |
|Do you observe any women, children, or adolescents? Are children out of school during the daytime? |
|I did observe women with children outside of a grocery store but none of the children were school aged children.

I also observed a billboard with information on lung cancer and a physician picture and number to reach to the physician. The billboard that|
|have information on preventing drug use did feature a victims name and I feel this is appropriate for the area and makes community members aware of |
|what the consequences are from drug use. |

|There is one main hospital in the area with many doctors office and community resources surrounding the building. There is a mental health building |
|located behind the hospital and the health department is off to the side of the building. A large nursing home and community country club also are |
|situated in this area.
