William Shakespeare Influence On Romeo And Juliet

William Shakespeare, born on April 23, 1564, in a small market town in England which was 75 miles north-west of London. During most of his life, England was ruled by Queen Elizabeth 1. He was baptised into the catholic religion, on April 26 at Holy of Trinity. His parents were John and Mary Shakespeare, they married in 1557. His father was very respected by the town and was a glove maker, his mother was a farmer. The family was considered middle class. Their nationality was english. At age 7, William attended the stratford grammar school with other boys of his social class from 1571-1577. William married at 18 to Anne Hathaway on November 27, 1582. A year later, they had Susanna in 1583, two years later they had Judith and Hamlet as twins. Over all he had two daughters and one son. His occupation was playwright. William’s poetry is full of vivid metaphors and brilliant images. His verbal skills also reveal itself in a tendency for wordplays and puns. In total he has 37 plays with his name on it, two major narrative poems, a sequence of sonnets and many short poems. One of the most famous ones, is “Romeo and Juliet.” He always attracted large audiences. Although he biggest crowd was only 3000 spectators. Many of his plays and poems have been reprinted and translated several times. He has performed his work in Australia and New Zealand, the Globe Theatre, and the Leonard Diggies. In 1599, Shakespeare and other members of a company financed the building of the Globe theatre, most famous of all Elizabeth’s playhouses. William’s dramas and poems were composed during the English Renaissance (1500-1642).
