Written by one of the most recognized Greek philosophers, this quote I believe matches perfectly with Andy, a rebellious teenager with an extreme passion for music. From what I have read in this book, I feel that Andy finds himself when he listens to this music. This is because he is in a rock band and was raised with music. In the book, Andy does not have faith in himself as much as he should. He deems that he never anticipated that life would hand him anything, however things start to change as he and Anita start creating music of their own. Anita starts to change him, makes him realize that life can hand him beautiful things, and that it doesn’t matter where he has come from, or what labors he has gone through, what matters is that he is a moving influential person, and can achieve anything in the world.…

Life is a precious gift, no matter how cruel the crime may be that the person being accused of committing the crime. I strongly believe that incarceration for the reminder of their life is in my view, the most extreme decision as a society to make in determining an individuals future.…
