Wildlife Biologist Career
The career I have chosen to research is the wildlife biologist. The wildlife biologist works with all kinds of animals. The two types of animals wildlife biologists work with are vertebrates and invertebrates. Vertebrates are animals with a spine, Invertebrates, however, do not have a spine. Part of a wildlife biologist’s job is to tag and record several species of vertebrates and invertebrates, another part of a wildlife biologist career is to learn about, help, and maintain the various environments that different plants and animals need to survive. The wildlife biologist’s salary averages around $51,000 a year. The wildlife biologist has a lot of work required for this job.

Choosing the career that I want to spend the rest of my life doing is something that was extremely difficult for me. It is hard to understand the concept of selecting what profession is just right for me, and what I may be interested in and want to pursue every day for the rest of my life, especially at such a young age. I have thought about different schools and jobs, as well as the pros and cons, for what seems like my whole summer and senior year. Questions troubled me, about what I wanted to do, for awhile until it finally hit me. I needed to stop worrying and do something I am passionate about. My love for animals has always been the one constant thing in my life. I have always had pets and could not imagine what life would be like without them. Working with animals is something I know I will always be passionate about. There is a saying that I now go by, "Do something you love and you will never work a day of your life.”…

First, a career in veterinary technologist and technician would bring me great personal satisfaction. I enjoy working, helping out, and simply being around animals. For example, Julie Legred, a veterinary technician and executive director at the National Association of veterinary technicians in America, says, “We do everything except diagnose, prescribe and do surgery. They often work in private clinics and animal hospitals, assisting veterinarians with the care of animals” ("Veterinary Technologist and Technician"). Without veterinary technologists and technicians,…

These commands may be basic, such as “Sit”, or they may be advanced, such as teaching a service dog how to do its job. After the dog has been trained, it can be used for a variety of things based on what training it has received. The dog may be used as a service animal, participate in dog shows, used in public safety organizations, put to work within a company or farm, or many other possibilities. A dog may also be trained just so that it will behave better at its home for its owner. Another responsibility of a Dog Trainer is to make dogs comfortable with other people in public and private settings if needed (“Occupational…

Being a Veterinarian is a lot of work but I'm sure I could work with that. It does take many years of study and things like to memorize facts to get into veterinarian school. I did search some facts for being a veterinarian just to see what they do and 1 fact was about that I would have to be prepare for the problems that will encounter in my life as a vet, the second one was saying to be a vet I would have to make sure that when I’m caring a pet I would have to wash my hands before and after caring the pet, so that the pet won’t get any infection, including the tools. For me to get ready to be a veterinarian and to become one I would have to be taking science classes and learn about animals. Also, I would need to take english classes and practice speaking clearly and write clearly like notes so that I will be able to explain things to the animal owners about the problems, medication, and health care when I am a vet. I think and know that this career would be a perfect thing for me because I care about animals and love them, yes it will take about 4 years, maybe more to do this awesome career . Money may be a little or lots but it doesn't matter to me that much, all I want to do is work with animals and study them. I can say I will be an…

A Marine Biologist Marine biology is an ideal profession for me because of my love for the ocean and my passion for sharks. A marine biologist studies all types of sea life and can specialize in studying large ocean animals. Since the release of the 1975 movie “Jaws;” I was captivated by this majestic species. I have always felt a kindred spirit with sharks and want to be part of a solution to change the general population’s perception of sharks. A marine biology education provides me with the knowledge for educating our future generations, becoming involved with conservation efforts by tagging and monitoring, also protecting a specific marine life that is very important to me from being hunted.…
