I think returning back to school to complete my degree was a very rational decision for me to make. We are sometimes told that experience is the key to getting the perfect job, but in my years in the work force I have learned that it is not always the case. Employers will sometimes use the fact that you do not have a degree against you and I refuse to let that happen. The biggest reason for me returning to school is my daughters. I want them to tell people that I am there mom and be proud of it. I want to influence them to be the best they can be. Returning back to school to obtain my degree will also be important to my family’s future. It will also provide stability so that I can continue to take care of my daughters and be able to contribute more to my household. I would like for my children to have a positive role model and to let them know that it is very important to receive a college degree. There was many reasons I decided to return back to school. One main reason is the fact that obtaining a degree is one of the major personal goals I set for myself. Not completing that goal is unacceptable. When I set a goal to start something or finish it I make sure I do it, so that my girls will see that completing a goal is very important. The second reason I felt they need to return to school is so that my family may become more financially stable. By me completing college and getting a good paying job my family will always have what they need when they need it. They will always have a roof over their head, clothes, shoes, and food. And we will not have to live paycheck to paycheck. The third reason is so that I can gain more knowledge and experience in my field. It is better to know more about the field you want to complete and how to do something maybe a little more better, then to start something and have no idea how to do something or deal with something with no knowledge of it.
