Welsh Water operates in the Public Sector; this means that this business is owned by the government and that it is a non-profitable organisation because there are owned by the government, this means that the Welsh Waters doesn’t make a profit.

The secondary sector is involved in the second stage of the productive process which involves taking raw materials and resources and transforming them into finished or semi-finished products or goods. The tertiary sector does not make products as such as but it provides valuable services that consumers and other businesses are prepared to pay for. There has been huge growth in this sector of the economy over the last 50 years and over three-quarters of all workers work in the tertiary sector. Some of the largest tertiary industries work together.
