Some parents think that their children shouldn’t play football because their afraid that their child may get hurt or they might start failing in school, but that won’t happen. In football, children do have injuries, but a child gets hurt just as much not playing football as they do playing football, such as riding a bike, or jumping on a trampoline. Also not all children will fail from playing football, and the only ones that do fail, are the ones that don’t try in class, also in football if you start to fail the coaches will take you out of football, which means that they would actually try harder in school to get better grades than they had before. After reading Scott Fujita’s “Would I Let My Son Play Football,” I would allow my son to play football. Fujita says, “ Here I am questioning whether children should be playing at all, and I’m basically selling the game to children watching at home.”(Fujita, 4) Here, Fujita is contradicting himself, and it shows that even a former professional football player can’t hate the game, despite the harm that comes with it. Fujita also states “.... most parents with young children who played football were most interested in my workout regimen and what supplements I was taking (Fujita, 2).” According to Fujita, football has given him the chance to be stronger, in a physical manner. After seeing how fit football players are able to be, it attracts me…

With reading the article “ Would I let my son play Football”,I came to a consensus that I would let my kid play football. “ How can I bash a game that produced so many friendships, paid for my education, and helped me become comfortable financially” .( Fujita 3). I agree with this article’s statement because football has helped people pay for college and help build their respective careers. Football has also made many people financially stable after playing in college and moving on to the NFL. “Football isn’t for everyone Scott ...but it was definitely for me”. (5). With Football not being for everyone, it is still made for some people, and if my son/ daughter wanted to play football then it would be made for them. The people that are made…

“WEE oooWEEooo”. The sounds of the ambulance roaring in the background, the screaming of commotion, the first aid-responders run onto the field, the parents running after, trying to stay calm. While football is fun, every good thing comes with a consequence. The age for when playing football should be raised to twelve because before twelve, the brain is still developing, players who have played before the age of twelve can have a chance of behavioral issues, and playing before the age of twelve gives a higher risk of CTA.…

Learning, and get an education this is a very important thing in life you need it to have a good job so that you can have a family and support them. So I feel in school you must have good grades in order to play any type of sport, and if you do not then you should not be playing. A couple reasons I feel like this is for starters kids pay more attention to sports then they do in class. This is not how this should be. Kids should love to learn something new every day at school, but in some school that’s not the case. Kids need to learn.…

In a perfect world the athletes we look up to would be law abiding great citizens. They'll give back to the community, do countless hours of community service, fix our schools, parks, and anything else that's asked of them. However, this is no utopia and some of our athletes are not law abiding citizens; with a few of them having multiple run-ins with the law. Being a media crazed era, we are seeing more athletes have run-ins with the law, particularly the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and the National Football League. When someone does do something, instantly people form their own opinion about what a proper punishment is and it seems to point too banning players. With that being said, should the National Football…

I know in my hometown Greensboro, NC at my school James B. Dudley High School football is like the heart to the school. So hearing that the risk outweigh the benefits to young people playing certain sports would make an out roar in the community. Knowing football players myself I know athletes feel that playing football grows their character, meaning if they get hurt it makes them stronger as a person. In an ESPN survey, two thirds of the parents said they were afraid of concussions and think it is a big issue (Lavigne, 2012). Football is an awesome experience for kids on and off the field, so, why take that away from them?
