Why We Should Vinny Ohh Remove His Nipples
Today’s society is beautiful and diverse. People are able to connect with others, and share common interests. These interests can go from being a part-time mermaid, to comic-books, to their sexuality. This however does not apply to Vinny Ohh. Vinny Ohh is an instagram famous person who wishes to remove his genitalia, nipples, and belly-button. These operations would allow him to become a genderless alien. These procedures however should not be done for many reasons, removing his nipples can harm him, there are no known successful and safe procedures to remove his genitalia, and removing his belly-button could actually cause a lot of damage to him. One of the procedures that Vinny Ohh would like to be done is to have his nipples removed. This …show more content…
Ohh wants his belly button removed. Now, contrary to popular belief the belly button is actually important. Many people believe that the belly button is useless after birth, which is not the case. The belly button or umbilicus. The umbilicus can be used for many things throughout someone’s life. One use is that the umbilicus is used in gallbladder surgery. This allows the doctor to access the gallbladder if it needs to be removed through surgery. Not long ago gallbladder surgery was invasive, dangerous, and extremely difficult to recover from, now through surgery done through the umbilicus. With the help of robotics Dr. Lyons has said that, “The robotic system gives me the ability to access a natural opening like the umbilicus with one small incision.” (USMD). This would mean that the patient undergoing the surgery would not be so daunting and hard to recover. It is safer which is a reason that Vinny Ohh should not remove his belly-button, it can be used for medical purposes. Another reason why he should not remove his belly-button is that these procedures are becoming very extreme. This is becoming body mutilation. Dr. Anthony Youn, a board-certified plastic surgeon, has stated, “there is a big difference between plastic surgery and extreme body modification,” (Youn). Meaning that plastic surgery and body modification are two seperate things. Vinny Ohh should be aware that he is not having plastic surgery but is making his body something that it is not something that it can

For the duration of my surgical follow through experience, I had the pleasure of following RF. RF is a 49 year old male with an admitting diagnosis of cervicalgia cervical herniation, and a scheduled surgery for an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at C4-C5 and C6-C7. According to Sharon Lewis in “Medical Surgical Nursing”, the cause of a cervicalgia cervical herniation is “the result of natural degeneration with age or repeated stress and trauma to the spine.” (Lewis, 2011) The follow through process was observed from when the patient arrived in the pre-op holding area until the patient arrived at the PACU. The expected outcome of the surgery for the patient is for the patient to be pain free within 6-12 weeks of the surgery. The radiating left arm pain should subside and the patient should be able to return to work. Immediately from the OR, the patient is expected to leave the room with immobilization of his neck as proper immobilization maintains the neck in a neutral position so there is no damage done to the spinal column during healing. (Lewis, 2011)…

In 1965 in Winnipeg, Canada, Janet Reimer gave birth to healthy, identical twin boys, Bruce and Brian. Around the age of 6 months, both boys began having urinary difficulties. They were referred for circumcision at 8 months. The routine procedure went horribly wrong when the boy’s urologist decided to use an electro-cautery needle instead of a typically used scalpel on Bruce. His genital organs were completely destroyed and could not be surgically repaired. The doctors chose not to perform the surgery on his brother, Brian. (shb-info.org/reimer3.html)…

This study looked at the gender development of an individual who was born a boy but was subsequently brought up as a girl after having his penis accidentally removed. Although Money reported that this change in gender behaviour had been successful indicating that gender identity was to a great extent socially and thus environmentally driven, it finally transpired that this was not the case. As a young adult the individual (David Reimer) felt compelled to reverse his gender change to become a male again. This gives very strong evidence that our gender behaviours are biologically driven and that although the environment might play some part in this respect, it is minimal.…

Coming out for Gays, Lesbians and Bisexuals as well as Trans genders is hard. “Hence, outwardly gender-conforming transgender individual usually proceed through the development stages of coming out later in life, often following a long period of pre-coming when years of hiding their cross-gender feelings take a different kind of toll (Etther)”. Gender reassignment is term that used for sex change for transgender. “Gender reassignment (which includes psychotherapy, hormonal therapy and surgery) has been demonstrated as the most effective treatment for patients affected by gender dysphoria (or gender identity disorder), in which patients do not recognize their gender (sexual identity) as matching their genetic and sexual characteristics (Gennario Selvaggi)”. Gender reassignment is a produce where the genitals or breast, or face gets removed or changed to fit the proper gender. “Genital procedures performed for gender dysphoria, such as vaginoplasty, clitorolabioplasty, penectomy and orchidectomy in male-to-female transsexuals, and penile and scrotal reconstruction in female-to-male transsexuals, are the core procedures in gender reassignment surgery. Nongenital procedures, such as breast enlargement, mastectomy, facial feminization surgery, voice surgery, and other masculinization and feminization procedures complete the surgical treatment available (Gennario…

The intersex surgery is not just one surgery procedure, it contains constant maintenance, which causes the child to have multiple surgery procedures throughout their life. According to Ms. Karkazis, someone who interviewed parents, doctors, and people who had the surgery when they were infants, “…they were unhappy with the results and complained of lack of sensation or pain, of the need for repeated surgeries and of the fact that they had thick scarring and the genitals never looked 'normal'” (Navarro, 2004). What parents do not really think about are the future problems that’s intersex surgery may cause in during the kid’s adolescence. They try to “normalize” their genitals to either look like a male or female but it will not look like that even with surgery due to the fact the process of surgery leaves…
