Feeding the beast
In the essay, "Why We Crave Horror Movies" by the author Stephen king; He tries to explain how a two-hour horror film may be one's way of stepping out of life's boundaries and all the expectations on what is right and wrong. He states that it's a relief of ones inner violence, a fix of adrenaline and fun and it dares the nightmare. You get to face your biggest fear from the comfort of your own home, and that's not to say that a good horror movies can and will make you jump from your seat. In the essay Stephen stated, "If we are all insane, then insane becomes a matter of degree." The statement he said is to the point. We all laugh about a private joke aloud when we're completely alone and sometimes we even talk to ourselves, Some can break into move when they think no one is watching them. We all like to show that we can conquer our fear given the circumstance. A horror film can be practice for the real thing or atlas it makes us feel like we are somehow or someway prepared. We all know sick jokes. Sick jokes that we hear from the people we least expected it to come from but it's inside everyone and that's a horror movie job and it does it beautifully. It's job is to deliberately bring the little piece of darkness inside us to surface long enough to be enjoyed and then sends it back inside once the credits show at the end of the
