Why Was The Columbian Exchange Bad

The columbian exchange was when Europe went to America and started trading goods. Some reasons why the columbian exchange was bad was because an epidemic broke out. A sickness of pustules. It began in Thepihut. Large bumps spread on people some were entirely covered the victims could no longer walk but would have to lay in their dwelling sleeping spaces. When they made a motion they would yell bc of the pain. Many people died from this. Some positive impacts were they found different foods like tomatoes, pumpkins, and corn. The Europeans traded there food for it. I think the columbian exchange was a good thing because they got good trades. LIke corn, tomatoes, and pumpkins. The bad part wa they got sick which brought the population down.
