Aside being the first President of our great nation, he was an Entrepreneur he worked as an Architect, a whiskey maker, a spymaster, and a farmer an Englishman once referred to him as the “Foremost Farmer” of America. He also enjoyed dancing and theater as well as fox hunting and fishing. I also found that he helped to promote the use of mules in the United States. Mules have made many peoples jobs a lot easier. In conclusion Not only did he lead the Continental Army to victory over the British thus ending the war, but he believed in a strong federal government, and helped establish the “Free” world we live in today. Without Washington we just may not be able to enjoy our “Rights of Freedom” as we do today. Our country still follows in some of the huge (size 13 huge!) foot prints that Washington left, such as the 22nd Amendments of our U.S Constitution limiting the Presidents time in office to two terms. As the first president of the United States, George Washington was greatly influential in shaping the government to be the one we have today. Prior to his political career, Washington began as a soldier in the French and Indian War, where he was rewarded with the rank of colonel for leading a poorly trained army of 150 men to defeat a French force and kill a French minister. However, Washington resented the Royal government’s lack of respect for colonial leaders and resigned. After his resignation, Washington displayed strong leadership skills as the justice of peace in Fairfax County, a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses, and as a vestryman. During the Revolutionary War, Washington was appointed commander of all the colonial forces after the battles of Lexington and Concord. His victories maintained the patriotic morale of the…

my research paper is on president George Washington and why I name him as the best US president. I believe that George Washington was the best US president because of how he united the nation and lead America into war against the British and the tactics he used in the war against the British. my first reason for my opinion is the different tactics Washington used in the war with the British and how they were implemented. when Washington was in lead as the commander of the American Army he utilized guerilla warfare that was used by some of the pioneers on the frontier. A sturdy economic plan able to provide our nation with prosperity and stability is crucial to our next President’s ideas. Better yet, a focus on foreign relations with other nations while maintaining our own set of core values is vital for the next President.
