Why The Great War Began Essay
As we draw closer to the 28th of July, we will soon celebrate the 100th anniversary of the great war, or as we know it War World I. This was a long and very serious war that happened in 1914. One of the long term causes known as MAIN. Militarism, alliance system, imperialism and nationalism. But these were all old caused for the war.
But another reason why the great war started was sparked in and nationalism. Nationalism is a country’s pride in itself. At the time all countries had nationalism and fought over who is better. Besides this, another reason why the great war started was sparked in June 28, 194. This was when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated.

One things they all had in common was that they were all lethal. One of the American battles was the battle of Cantigny. This battle was in France and it started and ended in 1918. The battle of Bellaue wood took place in France in 1918, as well. Germany was against America and America won.
After a long while of fighting, the great war did come to an end on November 11, 1918. When it brought great celebration to America and their allies. For Germany, who lost, went into some debt and had struggles to rebuild. But in general, the end of the war was a big relief for many people.
During this end, the treaty of Versailles was made. This was taken place in Paris, France. This was a peace conference between many countries, like the USA, France, Italy. There, they made a peace contract; ending the great war. This meant an alliance was made between most of them.
As an effect to the war, the league of nations was made. This was basically a deal and organization after the war. This means that if a country needed help or had conflict with another, that they would work together to find a solution to it. All the countries agreed to this. This concluded the end of the great war and we soon celebrate its 100th

    Soldiers’ view of the Great War altered dramatically as it progressed. During the early years, there was a great sense of patriotic enthusiasm. Many believed in the romantic concept of an honorable death, which could be attained by dying for one’s country. Charles Peguy illustrates this idea in evidence source 2.
