why the army wants dress right dress
2000 word essay: Why the army wants things dress right dress.

To start the essay off id like to go over the "reason" that i am writing the essay to ensure you (the reader) that i know why i am writing it. When i raised my right hand on September 14th 2012 i was swearing into the U.S Army, which was pretty much me saying that i will obey by everything they want and need me to do. I went to basic training where i was taught many things, one of which was "Dress Right Dress" which pretty much means everything is the same. I learned that the army wants everything this way so that it doesn't look like a "Gaggle Fuck" as our sergeants like to put it. This is to ensure that when we don't have individuals here because as everyone here knows by now the army doesn't work when you try by yourself, but when you work as a team., so when i got to AIT and decided to put my shower shoes into my civilian bag i made a bad choice because i know that the order of our shoe display was "Boots, Dress shoes, Running Shoes, Shower Shoes." so when i made the choice to not have shower shoes i was pretty much saying F*** You to the rules and tired doing my own thing.

Another Reason the army needs/wants things to be dress right dress is because if everyone could just do their own thing how would or could we be taught the same stuff? they could just be like "Eh i don't want to teach or do that today" yet when someone else who is supposed to be doing the same thing, they're actually doing it. PT, Grading, BCT, AIT, regular army, and even some fighting wouldn't be the same and all soldiers would be different.
It's a chain effect of why the army cant have things "Different" Ceremonies would be different, fighting couldn't be the same due to the fact all soldiers wouldn't know the same techniques, discipline would be chaotic (which it already is in my opinion) the skill levels in soldiers when it came to their MOS would range so far how would you know until it came down to

If you look into the regulation of the army it states that the United States Army is a uniformed service that is judged, in part, by the way a soldier wears their uniform. This being said, if a soldier wears their uniform in a manner which is not clean and neat in appearance, and portrays the army poorly, the members of the United States Army would be viewed in a poor and undisciplined manner. Whereas if the members of the United States Army hold themselves to a higher standard, and maintain a neat and clean appearance, the members of the uniformed service will be viewed by the outside world as an organization which personifies what discipline is supposed to be.…

The US Army 670-1 is the basis for the wear and appearance of all military uniforms to include ACU , BDU, DCU, ASU, and all PT uniforms. It was formed so that all soldiers wear the uniform the same to instill discipline and a professional appearance. This regulation applies to officers and enlisted the same. It was formed to give the exact dimensions for badges tabs patches and rank. The proponent of this regulation is the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1. The proponent has the authority to approve exceptions or waivers to this regulation that are consistent with controlling law and regulations. The proponent may delegate this approval authority, in writing, to a division chief within the proponent agency or its direct reporting unit or field operating agency, in the grade of colonel or the civilian equivalent. Activities may request a waiver to this regulation to this regulation by providing justification that includes a full analysis of the expected benefits and must include formal review by the activity’s senior legal officer. All waiver requests will be endorsed by the commander or senior leader of the requesting activity and forwarded through their higher headquarters to the policy proponent. Refer to AR 25-30 for specific guidance. As stated there in the beginning of the 670-1 there is only a few people that actually have the power to change or alter the uniform. So the big things looked for in uniform discrepancies is lopsided rank or badges, gaps in the badges to the army patch. And all ribbons are in order. We have these rules to keep the public view and the universal view of our army as professional and not a group of missfits. A sense of pride should be in every soldier as to how they where there uniform which today soldiers tend to wear the uniform however they please with no corrections or actions taken by those appointed over them. Now this is not only a problem in leadership but in the individual soldier. Todays army problems are starting from the very…

what is the importance of uniformity ,dress right dress, and discipline in the army? the importance of uniformity is to make everyone become and look equal. there are no differences between us, no separation because we are all a team. what is the point of uniformity, when a whole platoon is uniformed it shows discipline and being in uniform is one of the things that is part of the foundation of the army. Without uniformity there cannot be discipline, and then it turns into a chain reaction and destroying the foundation of the army. being in uniformity shows soldiers how they can do things together and how working together, we as people can do anything we want to accomplish. it also teaches soldiers that uniformity also shows responsibility that when things are disorganized nothing ever gets done, but when there are no differences holding back from completing the mission anything can be done 110%. Everything needs to also have discipline without having the discipline to fix something that is out of place when you know that it needs to be fix then everything would be jacked up. For example, if it were not for my leadership to keep us awake all night, night before the inspection cleaning everything making sure that everyone was truly dress right dress, checking all the wall lockers and bed display we may vary would have not passed the inspection on our own. the reason I say that for is because we all come from different up brings, some were taught discipline and others were brought up spoiled and had everything done for them and or never had anyone there to teach them how to keep thing neat or responsibility to make sure rules are completed 110%. when every is dress right dress it eliminates the difference that people have, it eliminates jealousy, deformity and also our disabilities and everything separates us from being the same. in the army, during our training we have to learn to put all of our differences aside and push through together through…

Correctional Essay on Importance of meeting the standards set by AR 670-1. A soldier is a professional and an expert at all times, Because of this his uniform haircut and general hygiene is held to a professional standard. AR 670-1 is the ruling of this standard in which every soldier must uphold to. A soldier is measured by his/her ability to do his job successfully, tactfully, and professionally. The key to doing a job as a professional is a professional appearance, none know this as much as the Army. In the Army, the regulation that dictates what to look like while on duty is the AR 670-1; this provides an SOP on what to wear and how to groom for both males and females alike. When a job is done for the Army, the soldier is responsible to uphold the Army standards and is challenged to excel in his duties and a substandard looking soldier will never excel in the aforementioned. I’ll start off the main part of the essay by saying that a good portion of what is written in this essay is knowledge from AR 670-1 Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia. A male soldier is responsible for keeping his hair in regulation, that is no longer than 4 inches and off the collar and ears, his facial hair is also subjected stating that unless on profile from and Army Physician, the soldier is responsible for having a clean shave every morning and every day for the duration of his career. Failure to do so is grounds for either a warning from his first line supervisor, a negative counseling form, or even be subject to UCMJ action by his superiors. The requirement for hair grooming standards is necessary to maintain uniformity within a military population. Many hairstyles are acceptable, as long as they are neat and conservative. It is not possible to address every acceptable hairstyle, or what constitutes eccentric or conservative grooming. Therefore, it is the responsibility of leaders at all levels to exercise good…

When you are in the Army, personal appearance is very important. It demonstrates the pride and self-discipline you feel as a soldier in the forces. There are many different restrictions and regulations on how a soldier should present him or herself. For instance, a soldier should always have their uniform neat, clean, and properly worn. There are also prohibitions on visible tattoos, jewelry, etc. However, you should always be well groomed when you present yourself in the army. Sideburns must be neatly trimmed, not flared, and must not extend downward beyond the lowest part of the outer ear opening. The face must be clean-shaven, except that mustaches are permitted. Although, if a mustache is worn it must be neatly trimmed. No part of the mustache will cover the upper lip line or extend horizontally beyond or below the corner points of the mouth where the upper and lower lips meet. By having that pride and self-discipline that American soldiers bring to their Service, it really gives the military that conservative image that they are trying to withhold. It is the responsibility of commanders to ensure that military personnel under their command present a neat and soldierly appearance. Therefore, in the absence of specific procedures or guidelines, commanders must determine a soldier’s compliance with standards in this regulation. Soldiers must take pride in their appearance at all times, in or out of uniform, on and off duty. Pride in appearance includes soldiers’ physical fitness and adherence to acceptable weight standards, in accordance with Army Regulation. Not only do soldiers have to look well presented while on duty, but also when they are off duty. The reason being is because civilians look up to them and put them on a higher standing level than other occupations. Adolescence see soldiers as heroes, the person they want to become when they are older, while the older generation, sees them as a thank you card for serving their country and…

Students can learn from uniforms in numerous different ways. Social pressures are what cause most scholars to dress inappropriately. If school uniforms are enforced students will learn modesty and chastity from repeated clothing choices every school day. Dictating school attire can also ensure that pupils of all races and backgrounds are welcome into any school. The schools that are confining apparel will set precedents for several other schools and encourage uniforms. School uniforms demonstrate what most occupation dress codes will go by from a day to day basis. Most workplaces require a strict dress code that does not allow racy and apathetic clothing. Uniforms illustrate professionalism in workplaces and overall prevent laziness. Lastly, uniforms show respect for your school, elevating the desire to represent your school.…

. Each and every soldier is responsible for their appearance, being on time, physical fitness and a good deal of other thing that form their responsibilities. It’s all these little things that help make up a good soldier. A single soldier can make a big impact on other soldiers around him. This impact can be for better or for worse depending on how the soldier presents himself. No one wants to see a bunch of raged bums in the army.
