In my opinion teen parenting should be delayed. There are many reasons why teens shouldnt be geting pregnant. Teens are not mentaly or emotinaly stable to have a child when deep down they are still children. Teens dont have the money to take care of thereself and a child. And they dont have the education to move on in life.

First, teens are not mentaly or emotinaly stable to have a child when deep down they are still children. Many teens get pregnant because they make attempts to find emotional fulfillment and the desire to achieve womanhood. Teens believe its easy to take care of a child. They also get tricked by there boyfriends. They will make the mistake more than one time. There boyfriends would say "if you love me you will do it". In fact if he really loved you he wouldnt force you to do something you dont want to do, and are not ready for.

Teens get pregnant for all kinds of reasons, but some are more likely to have a child than their peers. These include teenagers who experience regular conflict in their family, suffered violence and sexual abuse in childhood, had a mother who was a young parent, have unstable housing arrangements, have trouble performing at school, are from a low socioeconomic background, have an absent father, have low self-esteem. Teenagers are more likely to get pregnant than older women because they don’t use birth control or because they have romanticized ideas about having a baby. It is imperative that teens know a baby won’t make the father stay or make the relationship stronger. 8 out of 10 fathers don’t marry the mother of the child. Absent fathers also pay less than 800 dollars annually for child support, often because they are poor themselves and can’t afford legitimate support payments.…

However, teenagers make their own decisions. Regardless of how many times parents can tell their child not to have sex, they end up doing it. It’s better to prevent a pregnancy before hand rather than regretting it and getting an abortion. Not to mention, in most states in the U.S abortion is illegal and this can consequently lead to a self made abortion, which has many risks for the fetus as well as the mother. Teenagers should be educated more about safe sex and…

There are many obvious reasons why teenage pregnancy is a problem in and of itself. First being, the couple most likely is not financially stable and would not be able to support the child without help from their parents. Children that are born of teenagers are prone of being born premature, which can cause the undersized child to experience loss of vision and internal bleeding of the brain, which could ultimately lead to the child’s death. Another issue the mother could face is not qualifying for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children). If one does not qualify, then they will not receive benefits and checks from the government that grant them certain things their child needs. This means that the parents or guardian of the teenager would have to supply even more for the baby. Another thing the teenagers that engaged in sexual immorality could face is the risk of catching an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease). This can cause many problems for the mother and unborn child during the pregnancy. One major problem is that if the mother has one of these diseases, such as Syphilis or HIV, she could easily pass it along to her unborn child during her pregnancy. If the child were to catch either of these diseases, it could very easily cause harmful effects and potentially leads to the child’s death before or after his…

Teen pregnancy ages range from 15-19 some teens are younger. In my opinion teenagers in my generation give birth more frequently than adults. Statistics read that, “Nearly one million teen girls get pregnant each year.” Some girls get pregnant more than once before their 20. In some foreign countries when teens become pregnant their parents make them marry no matter age. On the other hand some girls pick adoptions. In my opinion 5 out of 20 teens in this generation get pregnant on purpose just to try to keep a boyfriend, but fail to realize still that will not keep them there.…

The U.S. Department of Health and Human services, claims that “A total of 249,078 babies are born to women aged 15-19 years old, a birth rate of 24.2 per 1,000 women of this age group.” One in six births were to females who already had one or more babies. Two in five females will become pregnant before they reach the age of twenty, as four out of the five of these will be unplanned pregnancies. This shows that underage pregnancies are quite frequent, so, people should try to help them in any way that they can. Teenage mothers deserve government support.…
