The author, Dave Cullen, then jerks the focus of the book to the teenage boys who would later kill twelve students, one teacher, and severely wound twenty-three of their peers. Eric Harris and Dlyan Klebold were the typical high school students, albeit they had some distinctive quirks that set them aside from the rest of their peers.…

David Howarth's writing style is unique. He allows the story to develop on its own. The story flows and the events do not seem forced. The story reads like a historical novel and is easy to follow. Howarth presents his information fully and does not leave anything for the reader to question. The reader does not become confused or lost because of the way that the author reveals his information in the book.…

The book City of Bones sparked my interest because it is similar to books Percy Jackson and Michael Vey series. All three of these series contain protagonists with superhuman powers which are used to fight evil. This book also my interest because I enjoy the aspect of the hero searching for someone who mysteriously disappeared. This adds suspense to the book which I enjoy.…

makes you want you know how or why someone can abuse a child and ruin his/her life. There is only one problem with the book, it some times gets the audience confused by switching back-and-forth from present and the past. This I think is what Dave could work on. The book is very entertaining and makes you want more.…

Caleb Carr depicts different forms of insanity throughout the novel. He seems to have a great concept on interpreting how intellectuals act when problems from their childhood start interfering with their own adulthood. Carr subjects himself because he states that he had a violent childhood himself, but he never does release how violent it was. I believe this helps on the overall aspect of the violence throughout the novel. However, Carr’s credentials speak for themselves on how he is a credible author. Caleb Carr is an American novelist and military historian. The son of Lucien Carr, a former editor of United Press International, he was born in Manhattan and lived for much of his life on the Lower East Side. He attended Kenyon College and New York University, earning a B.A. in military and diplomatic history. He is a contributing editor of MHQ: The Quarterly Journal of Military History and writes frequently on military and political affairs. Carr has written many novels such as The Angel of Darkness, The Lessons of Terror, Killing Time, The Devil Soldier, and The Italian Secretary. His titles have been translated into many different languages worldwide. Carr now resides in upstate New York and teaches at Bard College.…
