One reason people should ban cell phones in, schools is that theft can occur at schools. For an example, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania four thousand dollars worth of cell phones and tablets got stolen at a school and thirteen people were arrested in that incident. Also, at that school police found over 24 devices got stolen over a two month. By sending your child to school you're basically just giving other kids an opportunity to steal your child's device. My second reason why cell phones should be banned in schools is that the usage during an emergency goes way

First, teachers find cell phone extremely distracting and disrespectful. Honestly, teachers do not oppose texting in class because they are mean, or don’t want students to socialize, but rather for students benefit. In fact, they are trying to prepare us for our future and the lives we will go on to live after high school. But with cell phones, we are depriving ourselves of education! With our cell phones going off in class, to our classmates getting caught playing Angry Birds, cell phones are awfully disturbing to have in class. Teachers only want to prepare…

Another reason cell phones should not be banned in classrooms is because students can use them as a reminder or planner. Generally, cell phones have a calendar built in the device. In my biology class, I have a unit 5 test, unit portfolio assessment and a lab report due all on different days; I used my calendar app in my cell phone to be a reminder. Therefore, cell phones can remind me that I have assignments and tests coming up. This shows that a cell phone can benefit students in the classrooms.…

Cell phones help students communicate more efficiently. Article one supports students using cell phones to communicate with each other by text messaging missing assignments for friends that were absent from school. Because not all students copy notes from the board quickly, cell phones provide the opportunity to take a photo of notes not copied. This also allows the student to review the notes at a later time electronically. In today’s world, parents rely on cell phones to communicate with their student at all times, as well as, using the cell phone as a tool in case of emergency. Even in schools where cell phones are banned, 58% of students sent text messages during class according to Pew Internet research. The third reason I disagree with cell phone use during class because they might disturb students from listening to the teacher and also if that happens the teacher will write up the students and the kid will get in trouble with the principal or either get in detention which is bad for the students if they are a good kid or if they don't really get in trouble, But if kids do get the cell phones then there should be rules for the school.…

In a society where almost everyone over the age of thirteen carries a mobile phone, many school systems have banned these items from school grounds. Why? Many say it’s due to the ‘potential problems’, such as students would not be able to concentrate on their studies. With their hands glued on to their mobile phones busy surfing the web or various social networks, there could be no tiniest concentration paid to the class. This will subsequently lead to terrible grades achieved by the students as a result of not focusing in class. Plus, a loud ringing phone call that breaks the class serenity will also interrupt the learning environment. What else could be more saddening than poor teachers having to be blamed for not executing their duties well, when it was all the mobile phones and their petty owner’s fault of misuse?…

Firstly, mobile phones can affect the learning process in the classroom while the teachers are teaching in front. Childrens tend to get distract with all the entertainment applications inside their mobile phones such as music players, movies, games and sms, short for short messaging system. For example, while the teacher is explaining something important regarding to the class subject, students at the back are keep busying themselves with watching or listening to music songs in their mobile phones. When the teacher ask them a question, the students become quiet and ignore the teacher’s question because what is still playing inside their mind is the music. This is truly a waste of time of learning process in school and eventually the students will fail in their examination if they are not focused in class.…
