Why Queensmount Is a Great Place to go to School

“It’s too hard. I don’t like my teacher, I’m bored”. It's an unusual thing to hear students say anything nice about their school. Not only unusual, perhaps, but completely unknown. However, if you ask many students at Queensmount Public School, they’ll tell you that it is an outstanding place. Queensmount opens the doors for many students and it provides loving and caring staff and a great quality of education.

The climate of our school includes its kids and its diversity, but it includes much more than that. Queensmount has a positive and nurturing climate which is the greatest strength about our school.

One reason Queensmount is an awe-inspiring school is because of the loving and caring staff of the school. From teachers to secretaries to custodians, Queensmount staff is always beside you whenever you need them.

A caring teacher can transform the school experience especially for students who face enormous difficulties, such as dropping out or family issues. One student who faced these kinds of hardships told a researcher that the greatest thing a teacher can do is to care and to understand. Queensmount is a second home to students because of the caring and understanding staff. They treat the kids like their own and everyone is included. Everyday I am greeted by my teachers and I feel welcomed which makes me love my school and the nurturing environment.

Also, the teachers and staff at Queensmount actively listen to the students and listen for the meaning behind what students are saying, then checks in with them to make sure they’ve understood properly.
