Why Is Sherlock Holmes Unethical
Sherlock Holmes is a very strange man. He is a detective who can solve a mystery without even seeing what seems to be like too much evidence. His ethics are very interesting. He believes that murder cases turn out to have very complex ways of happening. He does not believe in the solar system, which the narrator thought was very weird. His decision to join the case to help was a just decision, because without him the case wouldn’t have been solved correctly. Holmes seems to always stick with his beliefs, not matter what the situation was, even after the case seemed like it was solved. Holmes’s actions were very wise. His big decision, to accuse the taxi driver of murder, was very unwise, though, because he may have been innocent armed, but

According to the police audio exposed in the documentary, Holmes did not resist arrest and was instead waiting for police to arrive and apprehend him. Undoubtedly, the suspect’s purpose in this heartless deed was incarceration. Sherlock Holmes is a name with an enigmatic connotation. It means magnifying glasses and a British accent to most people. However, to me, it means noticing the obvious. It means finding deep, lasting friendship, alongside solutions to seemingly impossible mysteries. Sherlock Holmes is a mystery in and of himself, and that’s what makes him alive. The same goes for me, for you, and for the rest of the universe. Holmes taught me that our mysteries are solvable, no matter how complex, and that was one of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever…

One night, Scout was playing with a little roly-poly on the step outside their house. Once Scout decides she is bored of playing with the little bug, she decides to kill it, but Jem stops her. Scout asks Jem why she cannot kill the bug and Jem claims that, “...they don’t bother you” (320). Jem knows that killing something that did no harm and was completely harmless is wrong, this is why he advises Scout to not kill the roly-poly. Once again, this roly-poly is another creature that symbolizes a mockingbird, innocent, harmless, and to Scout, a source of entertainment. The reason that Jem makes such a big deal about this situation is because he is still processing Tom Robinson’s death and all the injustice that Tom Robinson endured during his trials, so Jem really understands that killing is wrong, especially to something so innocent.…

The famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is known for his keen observation skills and logical thinking that has outsmarted criminal masterminds. His ability to conclude a theory from reason and logic is impressive; however, “It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts" (Scandal, 3). For his cases, Holmes gathers up data and information in any way he can, one being the art of disguise. The use of disguises play a significant part in crime solving because they allow Holmes to conceal his identity so he can gather information and ultimately deceive society.…

Sherlock Holmes is said to be the greatest [fictional] detective known, and it is all thanks to his astonishing use of deductive reasoning. Firstly, Sherlock Holmes has discovered the place of the crime before it even occurs. For example, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes, shares that Holmes deduces that John Clay, or Vincent Spalding, is going to rob a bank based on the bank’s hours and the sudden closing of the Red Headed League (Doyle 76). Thus, Holmes does not need a crime scene to know the crim. Secondly, Holmes has intelligently used criminal's’ own weapons against them.…

Sherlock Holmes is always my favorite, not ‘one of’ . Since my father had bought me the first book of “complete stories of Sherlock Holmes”, I have read series of books about him. For many of years, Sherlock Holmes has made many books, Movies, even comics and has been played by different actors, including Christopher Lee, Clive Brook, and Holmes in “A study in pink”---- Benedict Cumberbatch., who corporate with Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson. Since I think I have seen enough words on paper to have a understanding of the Characters, I almost do not watch any film which has relationship with Sherlock. Movies can never be better than books in my point of view, but when I finish watching “A study in pink”, I think my perspective will change in the future.…

Sherlock Holmes is a methodical, fictional detective who was created by the ingenious author, Conan Doyle. In this period of time, Victorian London was a fascinating place to live in, since there were economical and political developments. However, poverty, prostitution, drug abuse and murder were also common. Most of the citizens were in shock and awe of these crimes and keen to know who committed these startling felonies. In 1888, a horrible crime shook the people of London, the crimes committed by the notorious Jack the Ripper. It was at this stage Conan Doyle created the detective Sherlock Holmes. He was presented in an exceptional perspective as he connotes ideas of valance, bravery and most importantly a fanatic towards his job. Although, he is incapable of sticking to walls like Spiderman nor can he fly like superman, Holmes is a hero of another kind. “A person, typically a man, who is admired for courage or noble qualities”, Holmes reflects this definition however not to the fullest as there are some cases within the novel that contradicts these heroic statements. It depicts Holmes with anti heroic qualities. In this essay Conan Doyle’s portrayal of Sherlock Holmes as a typical hero will be examined and analyzed.…
