Identity is important to everyone during any time in their life. The made up identity Uri gave Misha was really important, and I think it even helped him find the will to survive the war. Misha’s made up family gave him a sense of hope and that there was still something to live for, during that time of sorrow and hardships. It was important to him because the thought of him having a real family probably made him feel loved and safe. Likewise, it made him stronger mentally and gave him a sense of character which is important to everyone.
