Why Is LA Become A Dystopian Society?
The year was 2150, where LA became a dystopian society after its recent rebellions and riots started because of the unfair society people lived in. Now, computers had taken over their lives, their entertainment, their experiences, and their jobs. During this particular period, technology had taken over the job network, people couldn’t afford to take care of their bills and made low wages on services provided. The people couldn’t bear to live in a dirty, robotic, toxic society where they couldn’t afford anything. Now more riots have started, people stole money for their own survival, and people killed other people for their essentials. Fourteen year old Michael and his family were one of the many families who have been living their lives in …show more content…
“Are they gone?” asked Michael, terrified by what happened.
“They should be” Dad said, reaching for the hatch.
He burst the hatch open as they saw their house completely trashed from the salvagers. They searched the place for their stuff but nothing was there. They had no more supplies to last even three days. They went outside the cold night leaving the place they called home.
They continued walking miserably wondering when this insanity would come to an end. Dad picked up Michael’s sister as she continued to weep from hunger and terror. They saw other other families around the block who already made decent shelter and heat from the fire. They joined them talking about what they just experienced during the outbreak. Fortunately, there was enough space for his family to sleep comfortably in the cold, long night.

The battle raged on as Tyler continued escorting civilians out of the battlefield. Until, Tyler was shot on the left rib and right arm. He screamed out in pain and agony realizing this was the end of him. Then, people began helping him up as the intense battle fell upon them.
“Why are you helping-Ahh! Me?,” screamed Tyler, “You guys should just get out of here while you can.”
“We’re not going to let an officer die on our watch,” said one of the civilians, “Besides, you saved a lot of lives and we can’t let a hero like you die in battle.”
Tears welled up his eyes as they chanted his name and carried him towards cover to bandage him up in the intense battle behind them. They got some bandages and patched him up with all the medical supplies they could find. Tyler took them all to the evacuation site and thanked them for all they had done for and continuing battling the battle that no one could stop.

The French soon regrouped their troops, and set out on the journey back to their village. It is now nine in the morning, The air is unsettling in Deerfield, almost numb. White snow is now bright red form the blood that was shed only hours before. The few that survived started filter back in through the south gate, ready to look after their wounded and count the dead. There were deaths by gunshot, by hatchet, by knife, by war club, even burnt and smothered in secret cellars. The wounded consisted of men and women being shot in the arms, fingers cut off in Indian custody, and broken legs and ankles from jumping from upper-story windows trying to escape. Many people hid rather quickly wherever they could, while the rest were wounded and…

You can’t handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who’s gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.…
