Not only does Kangaroo Point developments need to coincide into the landscape surrounding, it is highly important to ensure that the surrounding environment is also protected. During the field visit, it was noted that there was minimal development within the area and a lack of parking available. The focal point was the stairs, with the café at the top of the cliff, with the bike and walking paths also becoming a focal point. Without these developments, there would not be too much within the suburb of Kangaroo Point. At the top of the cliffs, there is substantial housing, although it was noted that the space within the suburb was not used to its’ full advantage. After undertaking research and readings of the area, the Kangaroo Point Peninsula Plan looked to improve the developments of the area.
