Why Is Julius Caesar More Effective
In the book Julius Caesar written by William Shakespeare, two men had spoke at Julius’ funeral. Brutus and Antony came up with speeches regarding Caesar’s death. Comparing the two will be simple. Contrasting them will be an easy task as well. Which speech was more effective? Which speech was more heartfelt? In Brutus’s speech, he talked about Caesar as if he was an evil man that could do wrong to Rome. Brutus explained that he only killed Caesar for the sake of Rome because he believed that Caesar was going to become too powerful and make the citizens his slaves, or even worse. “If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more.
