Why Is Human Trafficking Wrong

Human trafficking is a violation of human rights, because it forces people to participate in sexual activity with others illegally. It is a form of slavery. Also, it is the illegal trade of people for mistreatment and commercial gain. Human trafficking is not legal anywhere in the world, but it happens to occur everywhere. “The United States is considered one of the top destination points for victims of child trafficking and exploitation” (Child Trafficking). Trafficking is a violation of child and adult human rights. Everyone was born free and with equal rights.
Article 4 states “No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.” Therefore everyone who participates in trafficking is wrong and what they are doing is illegal. One night she did not bring in enough money so he beat her in front of the other girls and made an example out of her. This is a violation of article 4 and human rights because the girls were not given the choice to leave or not. Also, they did not get to choose if they wanted to become prostitutes.
