Starting off, college is very important to me because it will help equip me with the tools and knowledge that I will need to ready myself for life and to actually make it somewhere. It will also help me to have a more open mind towards life and knowledge. College is also important to me because it will allow me to land on my career path and to help accomplish my goals. Having a college education will open up several doors in my search for a career. People that have attained a college degree are considered to be much more employable and are hired in at a higher pay. This means that a college graduate would be more likely to be offered employment than someone who did not attend college or did not acquire a college degree. The unemployment rate for a person with less than a high school diploma is more than three times that of a person with a college degree.
After attending, students will be provided with better job opportunities and higher salaries. Most employers seek individuals with a higher education. In college, you will learn responsibility, independence, and everything else that will help prepare you for your future. College is a way of discovering yourself and to find out who you are and what you want to do with your life. College will test your limits and will help you go beyond your comfort zone. New experiences will lead to new decisions in life. College can be very expensive and some people can’t afford it, so they never attend and go straight into working. For some people they can afford it and they do go, but they take it for granted and don’t realize what they actually have.
