Why Is Canada So Great? Canada is a great place! This is because Canada has so much to offer. For instance, it has all four seasons, and looks different all over the place. The majority of people who live in Canada are nice and take pride in where they live. Canada has many factors; Canada has a great health care system. The government and the people in Canada’s taxes pay for universal health care, which means they pay for hospital bills. The crime rate in Canada is considerably low. Crime rate has been decreasing yearly. Education is very important in which Canada has one of the top educational systems. Canadian universities are known to be great and have cheap tuitions for students. Canada also has the highest literacy rate in the world.
Canada is also a multicultural society, as has people from almost every background. In general, is a safe welcoming country to all types of people. In Canada, it is believed that everyone should be treated equally no matter what race, sex, or class you are in. Canada even has in the Charter of Rights and Freedom to accept our beliefs.
Canada is one of the most popular tourist places in the world. There are so many things to do and places to go; multiple museums, movie theaters, shopping places, the scenery. Canada is most widely known for the Horseshoe Falls which borders with the USA, the world’s longest bridge which is the P.E.I bridge and in Toronto we have the world’s tallest self-supported structures.
Canada is a beautiful country that has many things that makes it great. The way people in Canada live is wonderful our peaceful and non-violent reputation, our educational opportunities, low crime rate, and our excellent health care system. Those are great things to be proud of!

    Canada has had many proud moments in the past 100 years that makes us who we are now. Vimy Ridge was one of our first proud moments in the 1900s where all four Canadian divisions in World War I fought in one battle together. After the First World War Canada became its own country by the Statute of Westminster stating that we were no longer was about of Great Britain. In the 1920s Canada invented many useful things that we still use today like the telephone, radio, television and cars. During the 1928 Olympics, Canada won 4 gold metals, 2 silver metals and 1 bronze metal. Hockey night in Canada became huge when it started out and still is to this day, it started on the radio but after TV was invented it moved to television broadcasting. One big discovery that Canada is proud of is the discovery of insulin used for diabetic people discovered by Fredrick Banting and Charles Best. Hockey was starting to become huge and legends were born. Maurice Richard also known as the “Rocket” is a Canadian hockey player that we are very proud of. He played for the Montreal Canadians and was their best player by far. In the 1944-45 hockey season he scored 50 goals in 50 games making him a hockey legend. Paul Henderson is another hockey legend for the USSR hockey series in 1972. Canada won and he was the one who scored the winning goal for us. Expo 67 was Canada’s 100th birthday so they celebrating with a huge party and 50 million people from all across the world came to see bringing in lots of money for us. Terry Fox was a huge deal in 1980 and still is now. He ran from Newfoundland all the way to Canada to raise money for cancer research. He did all of this with only one leg and raised over $20 million before he died. When 9/11 happened in the United States, Americans came to Canada and stayed in the airports, Canadians wanted to help so they brought food blankets and clothes for the Americans. Citizens are given the opportunity to pursue their self-interests. This causes constant push through society, letting us advance without causing problems that relate to little government control. Another part of Canada that shows an ideal balance between government and freedom is the way our market is set up. Canada is considered a mixed economy in which certain sectors of the market are owned by the government and other sectors are owned by the individual. The health care is owned by the government, and yet businesses can be owned by the individual.
