Having this law is not to give children and parents' money, it is to use a consequence to teach the bully what they are doing is wrong and to show the victim that we all care about what is going on in their life and we want to show that there are consequences for peoples …show more content…
Some say that joking around with another person or teasing them is fun, but did you know you are really breaking them down inside. People don't understand how so many people are getting hurt just by a couple words or a physical interaction. It is sad to think about how a joke could turn into a suicide; think about what you say the next time you are joking around with someone, because it just could be their breaking point. Bullying occurs to thousands of children every day, around eighty percent of those thousands of children do not report or tell anyone at all. With having bullying be illegal for all ages these children might feel better asking for help or talking to adults if they know that this problem will stop. It could just be one time or it could be repeated bullying, but it still can affect someones life greatly. To me a witness is just as bad as a bully, if they just stand there and be a bystander. Bullying is a major problem in our world today, but with this being illegal, it could benefit a lot of

Bullying happens when they are not around either of them people and also some kids are too scared to tell their parents because they don’t know how they will act nor do they know if they will stop getting bullied or if it would happen more. The victims of such actions need to understand that they can get out of that situation and also that they can sometimes do it by themselves because being bullied can mess a child up in the long run(Jacobs and McMahon np). Bullying can affect people in many different ways and it is definitely never for the better. In an article, “Bullies Choose Their Victims Wisely”, it states, bullying involves more than just the bully and the victim. It also involves assistants that help out the bully, defendants that help the victim, and bystanders standing on the sidelines (NBC News n.p.). When someone chooses to tease another person, the bully is not only involving the victim, but also the whole environment. The antagonizer ends up affecting not only the victim, but everyone involved. In another article, published by the Department of Health and Human Services, it says, everyone is affected by bullying, the victims, the bully, and the bystanders (“Effects of Bullying” n.p.).
