Benjamin Franklin was an amazing man, he is known as our founding father, but why do we see him as such an amazing person? Today I will explain why Benjamin Franklin is such an important person and how he has truly changed the course of history. Franklin did many amazing things in his life. He was an avid inventor, a scientist, and a leader. He invented many things such as the Franklin stove, and bifocals. As a scientist, he discovered that lightning conducts electricity, and as a leader he helped draft the declaration of independence and was a general in the French and Indian war.
Benjamin franklin was many things, including an inventor, his inventions helped better everyone’s lives for the better and they will never be forgotten, in fact, remnants of his inventions are still used in technologies today. With his inventions, came change. Although he lived in the colonies, Franklin was a Londoner by heart, and stood by London until he could no longer. And although he was a truly remarkable man, he was humble. He thought of himself like he was a simple minded man, even though he was not. It just goes to show, “even if you start from humble beginnings, you can succeed beyond your wildest dreams.”
