Why I Want To Become An Anesthesiologist
Within my future I plan to be something important in healthcare. I know that I am going to graduate from college with a nursing degree, preferably a registered nurse, but I want to try and figure out now what that important major is going to be. While a cardiac surgeon is taking the first two years in medical school to study the basic sciences and introduction to clinical medicine. The final two years consist of exposing students to all of the major clinical disciplines and additional clinical exposure/electives. After achieving a medical degree both majors will continue with a specific residency but for a different amount of years. An anesthesiologist major will complete four years in an anesthesiology residency, while a surgeon major will complete a five-year general surgery residency with an additional two to three years participating in a cardio fellowship. Considering this lengthy process, dedication and time is going to be an important role in able to succeed for both majors. With all of these educational requirement it would be important to also know what the day to day duties will be and if it will be something of
