Why I Want To Be A Veterinarian?

1.) Veterinarians are the heroes and villains of the animal world. I choose to be a Veterinarian because I want to help sick or injured animals get better. Most people think its easy being a vet, that you only have to deal with animals and making sure that they are better well they’re wrong. 3.) Veterinarians, or vets, have a lot of responsibilities they are responsible for seeing what is wrong with the animal and how to make it better resulting in hero. Sometimes the animal gets too sick to be helped so the vet has to put them down thus making them a villain. 5.) A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or D.V.M., is required. In order to be a vet you must also have a Master degree. The High School of Durant doesn’t have a program that would help you get closer to being a vet. If you prefer working with small animals you will spend most of your time in a clinic, as to where if you work with big animals you will spend most of your time on farms or ranches. 8.) Veterinarians are self-employed they tend to work 40 to 50 hours a week sometimes longer (Careersnonstop). 13.) You wouldn’t get to spend much time with your family you’d always be too busy working but it would be worth it. 10.) I found that Veterinarians have to be social and have to be able to speak freely to the owners to tell them what’s wrong and how to fix it. They must be able to hold in their emotions because if they break down in the middle of surgery things could get messy. Animal clinics can be noisy and tend to be dangerous when dealing with sick animals one must be careful. 9.) Animals that are scared or sick are more likely to be meaner so vets have to careful because they could be bit, kicked, scratched, or even get a disease from the animal
