Why I Want To Be A Nurse Practitioner
There are several important reasons why I want to become a nurse practitioner. The first one is the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry and be part of a professional group that helps to save lives. I would like to be involved in making patient diagnosis and developing individualized treatment plans for patients. Taking care of humanity is a noble idea that I would like to be associated with. Moreover, I strive to be part of an elite group of professionals who are changing the structures of today’s healthcare delivery. Secondly, I want to be a nurse practitioner because of the many opportunities that currently exist across all healthcare settings from emergency rooms to psychiatric hospitals and retail clinics. I strive to develop skills such as team working and understanding of diversity as well as developing a strong relationship with patients. My second professional goal is commit myself to continuous learning as I believe that education will not end after my graduation. As long as I will be in the nursing profession, I should expect new developments and my aim is to be always ready to take up new courses, certifications, and attend conferences. In this case, I will be expanding my career while at the same time become a more competent nurse. Finally, my objective is to provide continuous community service to individuals in need of medication together with the less fortunate ones.
