My reason for wanting to attend Webber International University is because of the it's marketing degree offered, the degree acceptance in my home country of Germany, and it's quiet location. I am working on receiving a bachelors degree in marketing and I have worked extremely hard so far. The reason I want to leave my current university is because the classes are to large, certain classes are difficult to sign up for because there are to many students and not enough professors, resources for academic success are limited by 2 hours a week, and life around campus is expensive and loud.…

After visiting Towson for a tour, I realized this higher learning institution has three key ingredients to nurture me in my academic pursuits as well as my personal growth. The first ingredient is Towson’s diversity in campus life. I am impressed with the plethora of campus clubs including special interests and spirituality. The second ingredient is the marriage of research-based learning with hands-on application. I was thrilled to learn from the tour guide about the faculty-mentored research experiences which are student-centered. The third ingredient which helped make Towson University my first choice is its solid foundation in the liberal arts.…

Maybe you don't know what you want from life, but we all know we want to be successful. As I oscillated between a few high schools I knew I wanted to leave a mark on the world, because being known is amazing. I know how to get it, I know what I have to do to get it, and I know where I needed to be to get it. I decided to attend BCTHS after my amble tour through the building. At that point I believed it would make me successful, and I knew I could endure this challenge on my own. I knew that there will be competition, but I also knew that I will still be successful. Success to me means going to a great college, and one day be well known for the creativity in my art and photography. I wanted to start ahead of the competition, and I knew I couldn't do this unless I attend BCTHS, especially when my two favorite career classes are dovetailed as one.…

Laboratory science was an unknown field of study for me. It was not until a friend of mine told me about a program that they were taking in college and I wanted to inquire more about it. The more I researched the more I was intrigued. The different areas that a person can specialize in such as hematology, microbiology, and pathology gives you a lot to choose from and to learn about. I’m a very indecisive person. So choosing a field such as laboratory science is ideal for someone as wishy-washy as myself. When it comes to something important and long term in my life making the best and…

My aspiration to pursue a career in dentistry was borne out of an interest in dental health matters and a desire to improve a patient's quality of life, both from a clinical and psychological aspect. In alleviating pain to improve a patient's self-esteem through good oral health, I believe a distinguishing feature in an outstanding dentist is the possession of manual dexterity and the ability to incorporate strong interpersonal skills through high-quality patient care. I have always admired the altruism of dentists who strive to work uncompromisingly in their patients' best interest. I furthered my interest in dentistry by gaining a two week work experience at Tam Dental Health. During this attachment, I shadowed a dentist carrying out complex procedures such as bridging, partial and complete denture repair, and tooth crowning.…

I have been inspired to pursue biology as a subject since my time at high school. I have particularly enjoyed scientific procedures and techniques and science investigation skills. I have learnt many transferable skills during my BTEC Applied Science lessons, such as presentational skills, and IT skills.…
