Why I Choose Military History
Well, here goes nothing. It has been seven years since I have written an essay.

This is my third time trying out college.

I hope that I can succeed and make up for my past mistakes and prove to myself and my family that I can succeed.

Now, let me go back sixteen years and explain to my ten year old self why I chose military history.

A lot has changed for me since my days in elementary school. Reading was highly encouraged and I read about the Civil and Revolutionary Wars when I was in the fifth grade. I was always fascinated by our military and it's history. Believe it or not I actually wanted to be a US Marine. Something about their dress blues intrigued me.

Secondly, history was one of my best subjects that I loved much. Reading
