Why effective communication is important in developing positive relationship with children, young people and adult

An effective communication skill is very important to develop a positive relationship with people. It builds trust and confidence between members and helps share more information between parents, teachers and staff.
Building a positive relationship with children, young people and adult helps teachers understand more about students and be able to help them in areas they need help in. Not to mention, it also builds more confidence into the students which encourage them to confess their feeling and ask for help when needed.
The principles of relationship building with children, young people and adults are:
Effective Communication Skills: This is the most important thing to build positive relationship.
Communication is not just about the words we say .It is mostly about the way we say it. You should use appropriate facial expressions and body language.
Good Listening Skills:
You need to show your interest in listening to the person’s ideas. Give the person a chance to speak and do not interrupt only when necessary. Try to build up discussions from the main point to help encourage the student into being able to discuss matters confidently.
Using Clear Language: Make sure you use simple and clear language when talking to children or people who are not very familiar with English language to avoid lack of understanding for no future problems.
Respect:
Try to show respect to everyone, especially people with different cultures and backgrounds. Even if there are a few ideas that might not sound very sensible or acceptable to you, you must not make fun of it and tease the student. You should show them that you fully respect their idea and explain your point to them in a sensible manner.
