Why Do We Still Face Racism In Society
We still face racism in today’s society. William Du Bois mentions “color-coding,” which means if you are not white, then you face discrimination and harassment. Constant protests for “Black Lives Matter” are occurring. The media exploit and over exaggerate the constant race problem in society. Frantz Fanon speaks of the stigmas for people of color; how “otherness” is being “less than human.” America is the land of free and yet inequality still exists. Despite what the media says, race discrimination is not as drastic as it seems. Racism has decreased as the years continue.
