Why Do We Place Athletes On Pedestals

The Book Things Say talks about do we place athletes on pedestals because of the amount they get paid and how they in every advertisement like Subway commercials and energy drinks I say that we put athletes on a pedestals because they are always on TV you don’t see a doctor on TV I say they doctors are important in this world and some athletes work very hard to get to the top just like doctors. William Moller gave some good points in this book about athletes. “Though I was using it in a far different manner than baseball players who would later get caught with it in their systems, it was still very clearly a “performance- enhancing drug. Athletes would never be able to do what they do on the field or the court because it’s a physical thing but a doctor can work for about 30 years while a athlete can do his job for 15 years tops.
