As stated before, liberty is the state of being free within society from oppressive restriction imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views, but I don’t believe this definition gives the word complete justice. Liberty, in my opinion, means that you don’t have to worry day-in and day-out about someone taking away your passion in life. You don’t have to search for the freedom to do something because you already have it. I believe that liberty is a concept constructed from the human mind. If you think about the animal kingdom for example, there are no laws controlling the animals, so they basically have absolute freedom. Though, there is a natural order about things, animals don’t have anything authorizing them to act the way they do, neither law or morals, so we learn that without authority, liberty does not exist, thus making liberty a concept of the human mind.
