Why Do Stranger Things Tv Show
Stranger Things My dad and I are huge TV fans. We love watching them together and discussing them. We share some similar tastes and some different tastes in TV shows. The biggest thing we disagree on is the supernatural. I think that shows can be made better with things that may not be real. My dad does not like anything supernatural. All though we both agree that TV shows should have great actors along with great characters , a good soundtrack, a great plot, and outstanding sets and costumes.

Stranger Things is a Netflix series. The show follows four middle school age boys, three teenagers, the towns sheriff and a girl with telepathic powers. Winona Rider and David Harbour are two of the more well known actors in the series. Stranger Things had a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 9/10 on IMDB. The shows surrounds the idea a mystery, a kidnapping, and a parallel world with monsters. The last part what lost my dad. I find the series very interesting, especially the last part.

Stranger Things takes place in 1983. This is extremely evident thought the series. All of the characters dress as though they were in that time period. The sets also make the viewer time travel. One scene that really

This was one thing my dad and I agreed on. The music was period accurate, which made it even better. “Should I stay or Should I Go” by The Clash was a song that played though out the series and represents two of the characters relationship. The two characters are brothers'. The older brother, Johnathan shows Will, his little brother, the song. Will is kidnapped in the series and sings the song to himself to comfort himself. Other songs in the show were “Sun Glasses at Night” by Corey Hart, “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane, and “Can't Seem to Make You Mine” by The Seeds. These are all songs that would have been out around 1983. I was very impressed with the music choices in the show. I think the show was really enhanced by the

Watching television can be educational in both a positive and negative way. In reality shows that teens from the age thirteen and up watch, teens are influenced in a negative way. They see adults acting chaotic; cursing, fighting, screaming, etc. in public areas. This gives people a negative outlook on the world. On the other hand, watching television can be educational in a positive way because there is more to television than reality shows. Television has many positively influenced shows such as: nature, animal, etc. and also negatively influenced shows.…

The next character that adds a song to the soundtrack is Bennet Omalu. Bennett is a fiery doctor who was opposing the NFL, on the side of safety for the players. He didn’t care if people were talking down on him or trying to disprove his research, he just keep his head high and pushed through. A song that resembles his personality is called “Not Afraid” by Eminem. The first line pretty much sums up not just the song but “I’m not afraid...to take a stand”…

    4. No, I’m not a huge fan of the song. There was so much amazing music being created at the time and this seems to be a step back in time as far as musical progression is concerned. However, for a full-orchestra soundtrack song, it’s nice. It has a pretty melody and is very soothing. It’s just not something I would choose to listen to given the choice.…

While growing up my father never got to spend much time with his dad because every time he asked him to do something he always told him "wait until the news is off" or something like that, I feel somewhat sorry for my dad because he didn't get to have a normal son and father relationship because television revolved around his dads life. It may not sound all that bad but I'm sure it was for him, if my dad chose television over spending time with me it would hurt my feelings I'm sure. I think this might be the reason my dad doesn't watch much television because he is possibly afraid that he will end up doing his children like his father did to him all because of addiction to…

Most people have their own taste in music and would prefer really anything else, but you don’t get that choice here. The TVs in this world are pretty advanced though. They are complete walls in your house, so an entire room could be your TV set. But seeing how this is one of the only forms of entertainment, its 3D, as well as interactive. Certain times of the week there are skits on TV that interact with the home audience, as if you were a regular character on the show. This may seem to be like something you may want, but in my opinion, why would you want to have this/these TVs replacing family/friends? I mean that seems odd and far off. But when your everyday like…

Some people will say that there is nothing good on TV now days, well I for one would have to disagree with them. In today’s world there are just so many shows on that it is hard to say that. At my house we watch a lot of kid programs because we have a 17 month old and a newborn. The kid’s shows we watch have a lot of good qualities that they need to learn at an early age to help further them along with their learning and life’s choices. We like to watch Dora the Explorer or Jake and the Never land Pirates. Watching these programs helps to expand his thinking, or so I like to think.…

    Is T.V. Really The Enemy?

Is T.V. the root of all our family problems? In Television: The Plug-In Drug, the author Marie Winn believes just that. She argues that television was beneficial in bringing the family together back when it first came out, but now that every family has an average of two television sets, everyone watches it in a separate room, not connecting with their kin during pivotal moments like dinner or holidays. Instead of laughing, singing, and eating together, families sit in peace, away from each other mentally, and sometimes physically. Parents enjoy the quietness of a couple without children and don’t take proper care of their offspring through communicational stimulation, and children mind their own business, quietly soaking up the information that television hands to them.…

Though Watson made some good points in “Ethics in Entertainment Television”, the fact of the matter is we can’t place all the blame on the creators of our TV programming for the problems in our culture. We, as parents, have to be held just as accountable if not more so. Television does have a profound effect on our culture but as parents we are our children’s first major influence. If we can set our kids up for success by educating them and discussing what they’re watching with them then we’ve successfully conquered the TV…

In the study, each parent had different views on the use of television in the home. Some parents believed in encouraging their child to watch educational programs such as Sesame Street, Teletubbies, and Baby Mozart, while others forbid or strictly limited television of any kind and some parents did not moderate their child’s television watching at all. In every occasion however, the children being recorded/studied lived in homes where there was at least one older child present.…

To begin with the tremendous soundtrack, Mark Isham's music haunted us with emotions, but never overdoing it. Even though most of the time there was no music but just the men working and the cicada singing; music was used wisely and faded in and out of the scenes naturally. It played, in my opinion, a huge role as it can determine the mood of a person or a scene . For example, the opening scene where they run for they lives, the music is fast and energetic, but when they are…
