Why Do Schools Wear Color Codes?

I walk into school with shorts that have attached to them shriveled ends and slight cuts. My principal watches all of the students walk into the school in the morning. She then see’s me and looks bewildered because I walked into a building that she runs, with shorts on that she specifically said she did not want us wearing. I made a general glance at every other girl that walked in and did not hesitate to think that I was being blamed for girls wearing shorts. She told us we could not wear those shorts because of boys getting distracted by the girls wearing short shorts. So what they are saying is that we are to blame for boys immaturity. I do not believe it’s right for females having to be ashamed for what they wear and express. There are many ways in which a male can represent his personality, whether it’s speech, apparel, or mentality. Boys get to come to school in tank tops and shorts that possibly don’t even touch their knees, but can never get called out for it. Most people believe that if you are going to school, then you are only going to get educated and be serious. Let’s take a look at this survey here named “should kids wear what they want in school?” In this post on a survey people got to talk to, a parent had said, “Kids should wear, and dress free because it helps them become more creative, and they will work better, it might just inspire the kid into working harder in class so they can get their work finished and maybe learn something.” I am with this student, for the fact of adding that kids would feel more creative if they got to wear what they want to express themselves. Apparel does not just have to express your personality, it can express emotions also. Most kids come to school and don’t feel comfortable expressing how they feel to anyone so their clothing is the way to do
