Why Do I Want To Take Part Of Education?
I am a brand-new father, my first son was born some few months ago, I see in him my biggest treasure. Consecutively, while I have to travel from home to my job, I wonder what would I like for him? What kind of education will define his future? If I could take part of education decisions, I would state that providing the right principles in teaching evolution and training teachers in not mixing personal viewpoints while delivering the topic will adequately eliminate false conjectures, misunderstandings and old taboos which instead than contribute to the faith they weaken it and stagnate the intellectual progress in the students and in general scientific advances.

Evolution or any type of science should be taught in schools under these terms because being a scientist is not synonymous with atheism and these small minds representing the future of the world will have sufficient fairness to take advantage of this teachings and raise the technological and scientific advances being the type of person that their parents knew how to orient. In order to achieve this, is needed school board reforms and a new teachers’ code with laws that lead toward a just, effective and modern education. I can study the past and recent experiences and in brief, not only the teachers play a role in this process but the parents are of vital importance. In not instilling false beliefs or becoming too demanding with the decisions of their children. History has shown us that putting more pressure than the child can cope is part of the reasons that greatly influence their change of belief and faith without mentioning that they are surrounded by Christian people doing things and living in a non-Christian …show more content…
I ask if religious leaders along with a growing number of students are accepting as compatible science and religion, why should we as parents keep rigid in opposing something that we were not properly taught? Stop financing our children education will not solve the issue, we ought to open the door to new opportunities and be aware that there are scientists who believe the same as we do.     I do believe that religion and science can coexist. In the interview the commentator explains that one of professor Francisco Ayala's (Faith Matters. 2010, April 02) statements was that "science and religion need not be in contradiction if they are properly understood"..... "religion explains why and science explains how..... but they are one in the same" ( Lab activity: Chapter 1). They really complement each other and they don't have to be separate or contradictory to each other. When I think of religion I see it as a roadmap that leads to an expected end, and if I follow the directions I will make it to the right destination. The Bible that I have read explains how we should live our lives to obtain peace, prosperity, love and happiness. However, it does not say that there won't be hard times, grief or sadness, but it does say that there is a season for all of these things. In my experience all of these situations made me a better person and I don't know if I would have learned what I know now without experiencing them. It also tells me how to conduct financial business as well as how to love and respect others. It provides a structure for all mankind to follow that is guaranteed to lead to a purpose filled and meaning ful life.     In the essay “Why Evolution should be taught in public school” by Laura Kahn. According to Kahn, we need to educate the next generation of scientists on understanding how microbes develop and change to give them the tools to develop treatment against antibiotic resistant bacteria emerging viruses, and other deadly microbes.
