Why Did The King Introduce Macbeth

When the king arrived Macbeth was nowhere to be seen, but Lady Macbeth was the first to welcome the arrival of the king. To celebrate the king’s arrival they had a party for him, during the party Macbeth was acting weird and seemed to be lost in his thoughts.
