Why Did Hannah Commit Suicide
Hannah was a nice and happy girl; your typical high school student that likes candy, hot chocolate, blue nail polish, filling out surveys, making and reading poems… a typical teenager. I bet you wonder what could've driven Hannah, that sweet girl, to commit suicide. The real question is not what made her commit suicide, but rather who caused her to commit suicide and what did they do to her to cause something so extreme? In the beginning of the book Hannah releases a set of 13 tapes to the people that caused her enough pain to commit suicide. To make sure everyone gets to know what they have done to Hannah and she also makes rules; Hannah says “ In case you’re tempted to break the rules, understand that I did make a copy of these tapes.

    On May 21, 2013 I experienced firsthand the shock, sadness and overwhelming grief of losing a friend to suicide. Bailey Leal, seventeen years of age, star soccer player for Stoneman Douglas High School was found dead by her sister. She had hung herself in her bedroom.
