Why Did 9/11 Happen

On September 11, 2001, a disastrous tragedy happened. Four planes were being hijacked by 19 Islamic terrorists on Tuesday. The terrorist’s leader was Osama bin Laden who planned the attacks. Two of the planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City, the third plane hit the pentagon that was supposed to hit the White House, and the last plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. From that day, multiple changes were made after this horrible occurrence. Some people still mourn about their lost ones even though it happened about 14 years ago. After that day, everything seemed to be more uptight like their security. Before 9/11, they were not that strict on security or checking the bags. Many people drive since they thought it would avoid being killed, but they were kind of wrong. Air traveling decreased about 20 percent because many Americans get into car accidents (Evans). “It took more than nine years, but the United States found and killed the al-Qaida leader who bankrolled the 9/11 attacks” (Beard). The terrorists came to the United States around the year of 2000. FBIs did not they were there, and they looked for them everywhere out of the country. The CIAs knew they were in the United States back then. Before 9/11, FBIs and CIAs did not communicate and share information with each other because they have this “wall” in between them. If the CIAs and FBIs could have worked together, 9/11 could have been prevented. Both of them actually looked up evidence and information prior to 14 days of 9/11. Everything that has happened gave the government a heads up of more awful events that will be occurring in the future.
