Why Criminals Deserve To Be Released From Prison

Many inmates have the option to become released from prison within their time to be served. Mandatory release is when offenders are released no matter how many disciplinary reports they have while incarcerated, while discretionary release is when offenders reenter society when board members believe they were ready or earned the privilege to be released (Alarid, 2015). I probably agree mostly with discretionary release, but not without concern. Yes, having a board of people look over your record and speak in behalf of society as to whether the inmate should or should not reenter society is a good idea. The thing that worries me about this type of release is who are you sure the inmate is not putting on a show for the board members and officials to get an early release date so they can continue their criminal behavior out in society?
