In a sporting event two or more people compete for an outcome such as a trohpey or some symbol of victory. The people participating in a sporting event work very hard to win. The main reason I play sports are to become better at the game. By cheating you skip the whole journey of self-improvement and by doing that you skip the process of becoming a better player. Cheating is for people who want quick results and don’t want to experience the discomfort of doing the journey of becoming a better athlete. Cheating instead makes you a better player for a while until you get caught, which then you regret ever cheating in the first place. Even if I don’t get caught and nobody knows what I have done, I will always know and I will feel bad for having to resort to dishonesty just to win…

It is competition to its highest degree and has been ever since the first sports emerged. But with competition comes stress and doubt and most of all a need to be the best. When factors such as these align with the strong adversity felt in something such as world champion level sports, sometimes it can become too much. Sometimes it can break someone down to their basest self, leaving only the worst of what they once were. Although that does not always happen, it is not uncommon in the world of professional sports. One such famous person is Lance Armstrong, a man who was an outstanding cyclist, possibly one of the best of his time; however, he is no longer viewed as such because he was broken by his adversities. When he stood to be tested he collapsed under the pressure. Due to his need, not to be one of the best but, to be the best, he employed deceit and dishonesty, in the form of blood doping as well as steroids. A great cyclist before these doings, he will most likely never be viewed that way again. This is because he, as some do, did not persevere under the pressure and adversity, but instead let it encompass them, even turning meaningless the talent for his sport that he once…

Why do people cheat, I believe people cheat because they don’t feel a connection anymore to their relationship. They have lost the feel of what was once there and started looking for that feeling in other place versus in their relationship. The most common place for cheating to occur is at the workplace according to ABC news. Which is really true, think about it if you are such a “workaholic” the closest person your going to work with is that female or male employee , So you build a connection with that person because they’re the one your spending the most time with. Which also means your relationship at home is suffering because you don’t have that connection of spending time together with the person your in a relationship with.…

Trustworthiness is an asset that is difficult to come by in the world we live in today. Ever since I was brought up as a little girl, I have been taught to be honest in all my dealings. Cheating is against the standards I set for myself, because I try to respect those that I know and am close with. To me, when somebody does something dishonest, I see that as disrespect.
